PRETORIA
The Delicious Carlton Cafe (012 460 7996) in Pretoria has a menu offer. You can either have a three course meal for R150 or order dishes individually - all will be packed up or ready for you to take home.
For starters (R40, individual price) choose either duck breast salad with grilled figs, aubergine timbale with goats cheese, herbs, vine leaves and olive jam or a herbed ricotta tart with baked figs. For main, all served with vegetables (R85, individual price) opt for Scottish salmon (baking required) with pesto crust, chocolate chicken or lamb chops stuffed with cashew nuts herbs and parmesan. Dessert (R38, individual price) choose either a meringue nest with chocolate mouse and fresh berries, chocolate and raspberry tart, lemon tart with fresh blueberries or a dark chocolate mouse cake served with a berry sauce.
Heating instructions are included in with your meal, so focus is left for the lovers. Order in advance to avoid disappointment collections will be during office hours on Wednesday the 14th.
JOHANNESBURG
Food on The Move (011 403 1233). Arnold Tanzer has a fantastic four course meal on offer.
For R300 a couple you'll start with course smoked salmon blinis with topped with crème fraiche, secondly a rocket and tomato consommé served with pine-nut and ricotta stuffed tortellini the main course a saffron and cardamom infused pilaf followed by a summer berry semi freddo.
Hurry orders have to be in by Monday the 12th, deliveries on Tuesday (not included in the price, this is extra) and collection on Wednesday morning.
DURBAN
Call Christina's (031 303 2111) and make your own choice from a mouth-watering list of dishes (about 20 mains and 8 desserts). You could book a table and opt for a buffet feast at the restaurant or they will pack your selections to take home and make it your own, for R175 per person.
The list of choices is endless from sushi platters, cajun prawns with Peppadew™ salsa, fresh kabeljou fishcakes with a sweet chilli sauce, New Zealand green lip mussels with pesto, Parma ham with melon, pepper encrusted entrecôte with Dijonnaise, roast Cantonese duck with a lime and ginger sauce to name a few. And for dessert you can choose from decadent chocolaty boozy options like deep chocolate and pecan pie served with whipped cream or more light and fresh fruit tartlets.
CAPE TOWN
Call Tamsin Snyman at Bay Gourmet (021 790 3367) and order a Valentines picnic pack for R200 per couple - orders close on Monday 12th at midday.
A fantastic selection; smoked Norwegian Salmon pate; Kudu carpaccio and caramelised onion crammed baguette; individual salads with papaya spears, caramelised paprika nuts and a lime vinaigrette and a delicious Thai wrap. Spoil yourself for dessert with Moroccan date balls, chocolate shortbread hearts, chocolate espresso beans and individual cheesecakes with a homemade rhubarb compote.

Contact Dish Food and Social (021 465 7888) for a truly incredible four course meal. Start your evening with plump Walvis Bay oysters, dressed with a little spicy Tabasco lemon and cracked pepper. Continue your meal with heart shaped wild mushroom pasta parcels with a truffle infused porcini reduction, followed with seared oriental Norwegian salmon with wasabi mash and crisp green asparagus spears. To end, decadent dark chocolate truffle tartlets with fresh summer berries.
For R380 per couple all you need is to pick up a bottle of champers and order by 2pm on Tuesday the 13th.
