Diarise the Festival of White Light on 4 December and prepare to be dazzled – not only by Spier Wine Estate’s breathtaking gardens, but also by a display of light and a diverse collection of performances. The festival takes the form of a journey across the estate, and starts at 8pm at the Spier Deli (add the deli to the list of things that will dazzle you). Spier’s “Angel of Light” on stilts will lead the procession.

The Festival of White Light celebrates the festive season and South Africa’s cultural diversity: according to the organisers, white light contains all the colours in the spectrum and therefore symbolises SA’s diversity. Arrive early and enjoy a picnic with soothing music and Spier’s award-winning wines on the banks of the Eerste River.
