Early in the year 1980 a small group of friends sat down to plan how to harness their combined talents in a creative and profitable way. The group grew to 25 members and on 7 July 1980, Koljander had dropped its seed.
Over 20-plus years Koljander has built up a reputation for traditional South African home baking and uniquely hand crafted gifts. We are the largest co-operative Home Industry in South Africa and have been honored with numerous awards and prizes – not least having been voted as the “Best Home Industry in Johannesburg” for six consecutive years!
Our 50+ members will surprise you with a vast range of top quality baking items, truly South African jams and preserves, our country’s best teas and coffees and exquisitely hand made crafts. Visit us at Main Road Melville – we are looking forward to welcome you in our brightly coloured shop!
