This is a factory outlet for the public and its quality cheeses are the best value for money you’ll find. The premises were recently revamped and enlarged but its offerings remain the same. Best is the low-fat cottage cheese and feta sold in one to five litre tubs. The texture of the cottage cheese is fantastic and it’s half the price of anything you would find in supermarkets. Ditto the feta. You’ll have to visit to find your own favourites. | Western Cape

delicatessens stock the
charcuterie of this German
butchery, but it’s worth travelling
to the outskirts of the city as the
prices are much lower here and
you can sample the frikadellen

those bidding for flowers as they
are mostly pros with retail shops;
there are more than enough
regular florist shops in the Flower Mall. With sales of more than three million stems a year, the allure
is of affordable flowers for any
occasion. Here you can still buy a
decent bunch of flowers for R100. |
