Awarding producers of consistently high quality innovative produce,
which must be SA grown or developed using primary produce from SA.
Due care and consideration for both the environment and workforce
are essential criteria.
The categories are:
Dairy - cheese, butter, yoghurt,
milk, cream, cream products.
Earth - fruit, vegetables,
nuts, olives, grains, pulses.
Grocery - olive oil,
vinegar, tea, honey, salt, condiments.
Bakery - bread,
pies, biscuits, pastries, confectionery.
Paddock - beef,
lamb, pork, poultry, game.
Seafood - fresh and saltwater
fish and shellfish, farmed or wild.
