Eat In is giving away a mixed case of wines selected from the entrants to the Classic Wine Trophy 2012.

The judging of the 14th annual Classic Wine Trophy takes place from 5 to 8 March 2012. Hosted by the Table Bay Hotel at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town, the Classic Wine Trophy stands out in that the wine entries are adjudicated by a panel of French judges, the wines are tasted 100% blind and the competition limits the number of trophy winners to only 17 gold medals so as to ensure credibility for winners. Wines of elegance, balance and finesse with the ability to age well are recognised, rewarded and promoted through this competition.

This unique celebration of South African wine is to be held this year with the sponsorship and support of Darnajou and Gillet coopers, Verallia glass of France and the Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town. The blind tasting of wines entered takes place over four days at The Table Bay Hotel at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The winners and media will be invited to a dinner and awards ceremony held on Friday 9 March 2012 at the Table Bay’s Pavilion venue.
