Meat & poultry
Johannesburg,
Gauteng
Opening times: Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.30pm, Sat 8.30am-1.30pm
They have superb veal (including veal brain), lamb, pork and beef as well as duck, rabbit and venison. Sausages and boerewors are allergen-free with no soya extenders while bacon is made with only natural ingredients. They know their meat so can prepare unusual and specialist cuts on request.
Ethical shopper tip: Caroline McCann’s well-known butchery only sells free-range organic meat from animals grazing on grass in open pastures.
